PostgreSQL x86 is the 32-bit edition of PostgreSQL, a powerful, open-source relational database developed by PostgreSQL. It delivers mature, ACID-compliant transactions, robust concurrency through multiversion concurrency control (MVCC), and strong SQL standards compliance. PostgreSQL is highly extensible, offering custom data types, functions, and a rich ecosystem of extensions such as PostGIS, while supporting both relational and JSON/JSONB workloads.

This x86 build targets 32-bit Intel-compatible processors and operating systems. It is well suited for legacy applications, lightweight development environments, or constrained virtual machines. Because 32-bit platforms have limited address space, the 64-bit edition is recommended for most modern production deployments.
